Privacy Policy

FreelancerOS is currently operated by Masum Khan, an individual based in Bangladesh. A registered company is in formation; this section will be updated to reflect the incorporated entity once complete. Contact: hello@freelanceros.online.

Account information: name, email, and authentication details, managed by our authentication provider, Clerk. We never see or store your password.

Business profile: business name, hourly rate, currency, and timezone, provided during onboarding.

Content you create: clients, projects, invoices, time entries, expenses, and documents you add to the platform.

Payment information: handled entirely by our payment processor (Merchant of Record). We store a reference to your subscription status, never your card details.

To provide and operate the service, process subscription payments, send transactional emails (invoice delivery, notifications), respond to support requests, and — with your explicit consent — generate AI-assisted project workflows.

Project descriptions and uploaded briefs may be sent to OpenAI and Anthropic to generate workflow suggestions. You give explicit consent to this during onboarding and can withdraw it at any time from Settings — this only disables AI features, not the rest of the platform.

Clerk (authentication), our payment processor (billing and subscription management), Cloudflare (file storage), Railway (application hosting), Resend (transactional email), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI workflow generation, with your consent). Each processes only the data necessary for their function.

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You can export a full copy of your data (clients, projects, invoices, time entries, documents) as JSON and PDF at any time from Settings. You can request account deletion at any time; we'll remove your data except where retention is required by law (e.g. financial records).

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Contact us at the email above to exercise any of these rights, or use the self-service export/delete options in Settings.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or an in-app notice.
