Our approach
If you're in the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you specific rights over your personal data. This page explains how those rights apply to FreelancerOS, alongside our full Privacy Policy.
Data controller
FreelancerOS is currently operated by Masum Khan, an individual based in Bangladesh. A registered company is in formation; this section will be updated once complete. We have not yet appointed a formal EU representative under Article 27 — this is on our roadmap as the platform grows its EU user base.
Legal basis for processing
We process your core account and business data on the basis of contract necessity (to provide the service you've signed up for). AI-assisted workflow generation is processed only with your explicit, revocable consent.
Your rights under GDPR
Right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You can exercise most of these directly:
Access & portability: export your full data (JSON + PDF) anytime from Settings.
Rectification: edit your profile and business data directly in the app.
Erasure: delete your account from Settings → Data & Privacy, or email us to request it.
For anything not self-service, email hello@freelanceros.online.
Sub-processors
Clerk (authentication), our payment processor (billing), Cloudflare (file storage), Railway (hosting), Resend (email), OpenAI and Anthropic (AI features, consent-based).
International data transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your home country. Each operates under its own data protection commitments; we choose providers that maintain appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfer.
Complaints
If you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
